My husband and I both have to travel the top end west bound in the morning and east bound in the evenings.  It's gotten to the point where we don't even try to go 285 in the evenings.  We travel backroads across the top end to get us to the chamblee-tucker area.  In the morning if the top end is completely stopped due to a major accident or multiple accidents then we will take 85 South and cut over that way.

Seriously we want to leave this city because of this traffic.
